High Horsepower Ladies' Day 2025

Flatrock Regional Training Center

About this event

High Horsepower Ladies Day 2025 HPDE, Saturday, August 9, 2025

Ladies, registration opens on July 5th for the event planned just for you!  RMR-PCA and our sponsors Blue Chip Auto and Poudre Sports Car, are pleased to announce our Ladies-Only High Performance Driver Education at the Flatrock Regional Training Center, Commerce City, Colorado. This is the largest women-only track event in the nation.

All ladies welcome! “First-timers” are welcomed and encouraged! In fact, each year nearly half of our drivers have never been on a track. Additionally, whether this is your first time on the track or you have years of experience, we have a run group to match your skills.

The event is open to all women and all makes of cars (see Important Notice following). Convertibles must have roll-over protection. SUVs must be built by German manufacturers. If you are unsure, contact our Chief Driving Instructors (CDIs) and they will make the final determination.

Registration opens on Sunday, July 5th, and closes on Tuesday, August 6st, 2025. You must be registered by August 6th in order to participate.

This event is limited to 65 drivers. This is a very popular event and we encourage you to register quickly before it sells out!

Important Notice:  Preference will be given to Porsche Club of America (PCA) members. Interested non-PCA members should still sign up as soon as possible. Any remaining slots will be released to non-PCA members on July 15th in order of registration.

Cost is $115 per driver, which includes a fun-filled day of driving, instruction, BBQ lunch provided by On-Site Tires, and a goodie bag. Additional lunches for your friends and family can be purchased when registering for an additional $12 per lunch. There are no concessions available at the track, so please plan accordingly with snacks and sports drinks. We will provide cold water. Bring your own chair for use under the tent.

Sunday we are also conducting another Drivers Education event, named Track 101 DE, for new and intermediate drivers, at the same location. RMR offers a $20.00 discount for those ladies who wish to also drive in Track 101 DE.

You must wear cotton shirts, cotton pants or shorts, and closed-toe shoes when driving. We will have limited chairs in the common area.  Please bring your own chairs.  Bring or borrow a helmet (Snell Rated 2015 or newer). There will be a few loaner helmets available. Also, cars must pass a technical inspection. We highly recommend you have your car pre-teched as this helps catch potential problems in plenty of time for them to be corrected before your track day.

  1. You will need to have your BRAKE FLUID CHANGED within one year of the August 9 event and ready for pre-tech inspection. Every year we have disappointed ladies because lack of brake fluid changes lead to pre-tech failures and cancellations.
  2. Tires may not be older than seven (7) years.  Mounded into the side of every tire is an oval in which are four numbers:  the first two numbers are the week the tire was produced and the second two are the production year.  Tires may not be older than 2018.
  3. Please DO NOT bring tent POP UPS! No matter how secure you think they will be, there are MANY cases where the wind kicks up gusts that send pop-ups flying...and in many cases can injure people and have damaged vehicles.
  4. Helmets: If you are new and do not have a helmet for this event, we will arrange to have loaner helmets at the event. If you already have a helmet, note that the expiration will be checked at pre-tech and at registration (they will need to be Snell rated 2015 or 2020) the day of the event. NO "half helmets" (motorcycle type), but open face helmets are okay. SNELL or M only.  If you plan on using a loaner helmet, we suggest bringing your own helmet head sock.  Know that we ALL will have helmet hair, it’s part of the experience!
  5. NO PETS are allowed at the Track.
  6. All cars must have a passenger seat with equivalent seatbelt restraints for instructors.
  7. On-Site Tires will be at the track so if you have tire issues or need extra air, they will be there for you!
  8. Lunch time charity rides will take place with a $20 donation per car (suggested) Charity funds will go to the important work of the Adams County Sheriff's Employee Foundation.

For electric vehicles (EVs), there is a Maverik station nine minutes from the track (5112 E. Bromley Lane) which has two 6.5 amp chargers and eight Tesla chargers.

Orientation meeting via Zoom: We will be having a highly recommended orientation meeting for first-time attendees via Zoom on Wednesday, July 30th. What to expect, including what to bring, why attend a pre-tech session, instruction and more will all be covered. (Returning attendees are welcome to attend for a refresher on procedures.) PLEASE SAVE THE DATE: July 30, 2025 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. We'll send you the link later.

Event will be using Deferred Billing. If you are paying with a credit card, it will not be charged until Wednesday, August 6, 2025.

You must be 18 or older with a valid driver's license to participate in this event.

Two (2) driver shared cars will be placed in run groups appropriate for the event.

We'll use the Speed Waiver electronic system for our insurance waiver.  Please click on https://pcarockymtn.speedwaiver.com/urius enter your smartphone number, take a picture, then sign the forms. You must present your Speed Waiver photo for entry onto the track.

The charity for Ladies’ Day is the Adams County Sheriff's Employee Foundation. This foundation supports various events throughout the community such as Operations Free Bird where they give out thousands of free Thanksgiving Meals to the community. The Foundation also supports Christmas Crusade and other positive community events.

If you do not have your car inspected before the event there will be a $50 fee for Tech at the Track.  This option should only be considered as a last resort and not for convenience.  The challenge with the "morning of" option is there is little to no time to correct any issues if one pops up.  It also cuts into the time you have available in the morning to complete the steps needed to prep your car for the track.

2025 tech inspections will now be good for 120 days from the date of the inspection. This change will reduce the number of times you need to have your car inspected during the season. There is a new inspection form available on the forms page of the RMR website (https://rmr.pca.org) under the Files and Forms heading. The new form has more details about the changes including the exceptions to the 120-day period that the inspection is good for. We will send additional details about the new process soon.

If you have had a previous inspection already this year, please check the date on it to insure it was done on/after April 11, 2025.  Note that even though DE inspections are valid for up to 120 days and multiple events, if you have already participated in an event since your previous inspection your tires and brakes may have worn significantly.  These items might no longer be safe for additional use on track.  If you are not completely sure that your car is ready, or if you have had any damage repaired since your inspection was performed, you need to have it re-inspected.

Going forward it is now required by the CDI (Chief Driving Instructor) team that proof of an annual brake fluid flush is necessary for that line-item on the form.  Please plan on bringing that to the Wednesday pre-tech event or to one of the “by appointment” locations if you are using that option.

Since cars will be raised off the ground at the pre-techs, PCA liability waivers are necessary.  There is a separate Speedwaiver submission required if you are attending one of the upcoming Wednesday evening events so please complete the SpeedWaiver before arriving by following this link https://pcarockymtn.speedwaiver.com/opzvm

If you do not have your car pre-tech'd there will be a $50 fee for Tech at the Track.

AGAIN, please note: your car’s brake fluid must have been changed within one year of this event. We can’t emphasize this enough as a safety measure.

Helmets: SA2015 or SA2020 ratings are mandatory.  We also allow the Snell “M” rated motorcycle helmets of the same years, M2015, M2020. Please bring your helmet to pre-tech for certification. (A small number of loaner helmets will be available at the track.)

The following information applies ONLY to race cars and those cars with racing seats with harnesses:  If you have added a racing-type seat in order to use a 5-point, 6-point or 7-point harness (which must be replaced every two years or every five years depending on whether they are SFI certified or FIA certified belts, respectively), you must also have and use an approved Head and Neck Restraint device.  Further, if there is to be a passenger (e.g. instructor), same must be provided and used by the right-seater. More information at:  https://wwrg/drivers-education-minimum-standardsw.pca.

This Event will be using Deferred Billing, if you are paying with a credit card it will not be charged until Wednesday, August 6, 2025.

Event requirements

National PCA membership number and membership status will be verified as part of the registration process.  If you do not include a valid PCA membership number (or forward a pending membership confirmation from PCA to the registrar), a $10 non-member fee will be assessed.

You must be 18 or older with a valid driver's license to participate in this event.

You need to have a Snell-certified SA2015 or SA2020 or newer helmet. We also allow the Snell “M” rated motorcycle helmets of the same years, M2015 & M2020.  You will need to wear pants or shorts (made of natural fibers) and an all-cotton short-sleeve or long-sleeve shirt and closed toe shoes while driving. Helmets will be checked at Pre-Tech or Tech at the Track.  Your helmet will need an RMR/PCA sticker. A limited number of loaner helmets are available.

No convertibles or open cars without roll bars, trucks, or non-German SUVs.

NEW PCA RULE:  If you have added a racing-type seat in order to use 5-point, 6-point or 7-point harnesses (which must be replaced every two years or every five years depending on whether they are SFI certified or FIA certified belts, respectively), you must also have and use an approved Head and Neck Restraint device.  Further, if there is to be a passenger (e.g. instructor), same must be provided and used by the right-seater.

We cannot accommodate two (2) driver cars if both drivers are novice drivers and attending their first DE event.  Also, three (3) driver cars are not allowed.

Your priority in being confirmed for an event will depend on the date and time you register.  When an event fills up, further priority will be given to PCA members.

All cars must pass a tech inspection within 120 days prior to the date of the event.  If your car has been driven in an event since the date of your pre-tech form, your tires and brakes may have worn enough that they may need attention prior to this event.  Tires and brake pads should be checked by the attendee prior to the event regardless of when the car was last pre-tech'd.
