If you follow the directions perfectly, you will arrive at various checkpoints along the route at specific times. You will get a penalty (points) based on how early or late you reached each checkpoint. The Richta APP on your phone will tell keep you advised of how you are doing on each leg and your cummulative score. Each section between two check points is scored separately so if you mess up one it doesn't effect the next one. The car(s) at the end of the event with the least amount of points will win their class.
Entry fee is $25.00 per car.
Awards are given in each class.
Beginner: Beginner class is for teams who are new to TSD rallies and want to keep the experience simple. Teams can remain in the Beginner class for one season and then will advance to Novice class.
Novice Novice class is for those competitors with limited experience who generally apply “seat-of-the-pants” navigation, but who are encouraged to experiment with more sophisticated navigation tools (calculators, simple computer phone applications, etc.).
Expert/Equipped Equipped class teams are more experienced and generally use navigation tools such as calculators, apps, and possibly computers. Teams can remain indefinitely in the Novice and Equipped classes.
The Richta scoring and timing system will be used for the rally. Participants will need to download the FREE Richta Competitor app to their smart phone. Information about the Richta Competitor app is available at:http://www.richtarally.com.
General Instructions will be emailed directly to the entrants. Supplemental Instructions will be emailed to the teams the day before the rally.
